Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS
 

1) Remove factory basepad and retainer plate.

2) Remove magazine spring

5) Insert new magazine spring into magazine body taking note of orientation.

6) Compress spring with retainer plate into magazine body and slide on the basepad.

If using a +4 follower the extended spring is a must. Using the OEM (shorter) spring and function / reliability will be poor.  Also, no chance of locking the slide back on an empty magazine without the extended spring.
