I have used the front strap tape on all of my 1911’s. I knew this side strap grip tape would be just as useful. I am not sure it helps reduce recoil, it does give my thumb an index point when I practice my draw. I raved about it so much my wife had me put one on her glock. It’s a small advantage that hurts nothing and is cheap. If the worst ever happens why not have every small advantage you can?
