Outstanding Ambi Safety February 18, 2022 Reviewer: Dennis from SoCal   This ambi safety works perfectly in my M1911.  Watched Nick’s fitting/installation video.  Then watched it again.  Followed the video step by careful step and my safety works perfect. As the video I used shows only installation of a non-ambidextrous safety, I recommend watching other videos for the few additional steps to install the right side of the safety (fitting the two safety halves to each other and clearancing the right side grip to accommodate the retention tab on the right side of the safety.  NOTE: The two halves of the safety need to be carefully fitted to each other so they easily slip together and apart.  IF YOU MAKE THE FIT TOO TIGHT, GOOD LUCK EVER REMOVING EITHER SIDE OF THE SAFETY FROM YOUR M1911……. As described October 5, 2021 Reviewer: Jeff C. from Maryland   Used this part to replace 1911-22 Colt. Required some filing in certain areas for figment. Part fits tight and functions well. GSG 1911 Ambi Safety December 31, 2020 Reviewer: Bryan Pennington from Middleburg , FL United States   I ordered a GSG Ambi safety and got a Remington high quality safety. Fit very well with minimal fitting. The GSG safety is cheap pot metal casting that twisted and broke in the grip safety. I am very pleased to have replaced the toy safety with the real 1911 safety. Taylor Tactical knows guns and gun parts and upgraded my order knowing what I needed without a penny up charge. Taylor tactical also got my order out immediately and if not for the USPS routing, the part would have been here in 2 days. The delay actually gave me time to refinish my pistol with Browning AlumaHyde II and it came out beautiful. With the new extended thumb safety it is a new gun again.
