It took about 5 mins to switch out from a mil spec handle. You will need a roll pin punch (1/16”) to do the job.

4 of 5 It's so-so but ok for the price August 16, 2019

I just received this item and in comparison with the Badger Ord brand, it looks very similar. The travel before the latch hits a wall and you start pulling the charging handle back is much different. The BO is short while this one has a longer travel. The latch starts out sticking straight out the side so by the time you pull it back, it is swept back and your choices are to pull and push to the right which makes it harder to charge or the other choice is that your hand wants to slip off. I wasn't too fond of that so I took some MAP gas to mine and bent the X part further forward. The result was that it appears a bit forward but when you pull back, the latch is then straight out and actually works. I'll use it and if it breaks (my own fault for heating and bending) then I'll go with BO brand or go back to the factory milspec type latch that came on the rifle. The price paid is attractive but I do wish it'd have been very comparable to the BO branded latch from the start.
