AR15 / AR10 Reduced Power Spring Set

AR15 Mil-Spec Reduced Power Spring Set | AR15 Mil-Spec Reduced Power Spring Set

This spring set is all you need to replace in order to lighten (reduce the weight) of your AR-15 or AR-10 trigger giving you a cleaner trigger pull for increased accuracy. It can be installed in a matter of minutes and works on all GI, Mil-Spec triggers both single and double stage. If you have a trigger in your AR15 or AR10 that is not a complete drop-in solution, you need this spring set. Use it in conjunction with our Adjustment Grip Screw for an even better trigger using your stock AR type trigger parts.

Application: The Reduced Power Spring Kit is intended for competition and recreational use only and should not be installed in any rifle used for defense or duty applications. By reducing the spring tension, the introduction of light strikes or failures to fire due to the lack of primer detonation may occur.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS

All you need is a punch or hex wrench small enough in diameter to push out the hammer pin located in your AR15 lower. Once you push out the hammer pin, the hammer and spring can be removed from the lower. Take note of the orientation of the spring as it sits on the hammer so that you can install the new spring in the same position. Simply pull the spring off the hammer by grabbing one of the coils and pull. Install the Reduced Power Spring onto the hammer and set it aside. Next push out the pin holding the trigger in place taking note of the orientation of the spring as it sits on the trigger. Pull the spring off the trigger by grabbing one of the coils and pull. Install the Reduced Power Trigger Spring onto the trigger and reinsert the trigger/spring into the lower while pushing the trigger pin back into place through the lower. Next install the hammer/spring into the lower while pushing the hammer pin back into place through the lower. Be careful not to force the pins as you attempt to push it through the lower. Remember the lower is aluminum and the pin is steel, so forcibly hitting the pin or pushing harshly it may cause damage to your lower if all is not lined up perfectly.

The trigger spring helps lower trigger pull but the hammer spring is sometimes to light.

5 of 5 Excellent trigger with no compromises October 25, 2024

Combine Taylor Tactical trigger spring set with their trigger adjustment screw and some time to lap the milspec trigger and hammer parts and you will a trigger that will function as well or better than "drop in" triggers that cost much more and are less reliable.  And if you have need to return to milspec set up, it's just a few minutes to swithch back.  This stuff from Taylor simply works perfectly.
