This magazine modification is for the Hammerli Forge H1 1911-22LR pistols. With this magazine upgrade you will get additional rounds in the factory 10 and 12 round clips. These modifications are not permanent and easily install in minutes. With the 16rd upgrade you can get 16 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber for 17 rounds total in the gun. Each upgrade consists of one (1) HiViz follower, one (1) magazine spring, one (1) high capacity aluminum basepad and one (1) hex wrench. Simply remove the factory follower, spring, spring retainer and plastic basepad. Insert the NicTaylor follower, new spring, slide on the aluminum high capacity basebad and finger tighten the set screw with the inlcuded hex wrench. This magazine upgrade is designed to lock the slide open on last shot fired just like the factory magazine. If you do not want the gun to lock open on an empty mag, select the "NON-LOCKING" follower.

Please note you will not use the metal pin found in the factory follower. Most people use this pin to aid in loading the magazine. If you have the need for a load assist tool we have two options for you. The first uses the hole in the blue follower to push the follower down. You can find it HERE. The second works more like a traditional magazine loader and can be found HERE

Please note that due to varying tolerances in the sheet metal that comprises the magazine, there may be the need to remove a small amount of metal from the tabs of the magazine tube. These tabs are located at the bottom of the magazine tube and are the part that slides into the basepad. Only remove a small amount at a time until your basepad can be slipped on and off to your liking.

1. Remove factory basepad by depressing the spring retainer tab located at the bottom of the basepad. While depressing the spring retainer, slide off the factory basepad. CAUTION! This magazine spring is under tension and can "spring out" of the magazine tube along with other magazine parts.

2. Remove the factory spring. Remove the load assist button on the side of the factory follower. At this point you will be able to remove the factory follower.

3. Insert the HiViz follower and the included magazine spring.

4. Compress the magazine spring into the magazine tube and slide on the High Capacity Basepad. Assure that the spring is in the pocket of the basepad and finger tighten the set screw at the basepad with the included hex wrench.
