1) Turn Turn take down lever on slide 180 degrees.

2) Pull back slide all the way to the rear and lift up the rear of the slide to take it off the rails.

3) Allow slide to move forward and remove spring and guide rod.

4) Replace worn out recoil spring and assemble in reverse order.
