This thread adapter quickly and easily replaces the factory barrel nut with no modifications to the pistol and allows the user to mount any 1/2x28 TPI threaded accessories such as a suppressor, an AR15 muzzle devices. No special wrench is required. Any 11mm open end wrench found in a standard tool set will work to install and remove this adapter. 1. Remove factory muzzle protector and replace with thread adapter. When not attaching a muzzle device to the thread adapter, screw on the thread protector to keep from damaging the threads of the adapter.

This adaptor was exactly what I needed to attach a suppressor.  Install was not as easy as expected.  The factory thread protector on the barrel was extremely difficult to remove without damaging the barrel, but once it was removed the adaptor screwed right in place.
