Please check if you have a nitrided or non-nitrided barrel (see attached pictures). Newer P22 models may have the "nitrided barrel" and thus require a thread adapter with a longer guide.

This thread adapter quickly and easily replaces the factory barrel nut with no modifications to the pistol and allows the user to mount any 1/2x28 TPI threaded accessories such as a suppressor, an AR15 muzzle devices. No special wrench is required. Any 10mm open end wrench found in a standard tool set will work to install and remove this adapter. Constructed of black oxide steel with included fluted thread protector.

1. Remove factory muzzle protector and replace with thread adapter. When not attaching a muzzle device to the thread adapter, screw on the thread protector to keep from damaging the threads of the adapter.

It was very easy to order the adapter and the customer service rep was very helpful. The new style stainless steel adapter was not available, but the black one was.  As I have a nickel slide and black frame, he offered to swap out the black l thread protector with one of stainless steel.  I shot it after it arrived only two days after it was ordered.    Worked very well; no failures to feed or fire.  I'm very satisfied with the adapter and the service.
